First topic message reminder :

AIRRIVALS CUSTOM INTERFACE

Alt-Click

Community Buttons + Music Player

Take Off/Warp to Mission buttons

- Community buttons, fully functional
- Alt-click buttons, fully functional
- Warp to Mission/Take Off, fully functional
- Music player is like 80% functional, no one uses it and this thing is a massive pain in the ass so ignore the broken bits. I know they exist. The music player still works, it's only buttons that will look funny, that's all.
- Chatting box will be done later, it has a lot more pieces compared to everything else.
- TL;DR I wanted the immediate look to change.
- THIS INTERFACE.TEX DOES NOT INCLUDE GIGABYTES MODS. It does include the original zerosama crosshair, because I use it.

Filefront: http://www.filefront.com/16258565/New%20Interface.rar
Mediafire: http://www.mediafire.com/?zzommgtkdif

This file is only 12mb compared to 43mb! No quality loss! So yes, faster load times for those with slower machines!

_____________________________________________________________________________

No Crosshair mod (includes all buttons, etc, none of gigabytes stuff though)

no. that would require bypassing the hackshield.

and then once that gets out that everyone's bypassing it, EVERYTHING is going to be CRC'd

What didn't you understand about the post above yours?

Developers CRC'd the interface, nobody knows why, so any modifications to the interface will close your client.

Edit~ Found the reticule files. Will be experimenting with other xhairs tonight
Edit2~ So found modded and played around with the reticule a bit. The game just naturally has it off center i guess Derek, since i used the same exact sizes as the original file and it's dead center.

Anyway, here's a small preview of what i've been toying with so far.

If it looks kind of transparent, that's cause it is currently. Still tweaking it quite a bit~

Going to use Riitta's buttons and Giga's Shield/Fuel coloring [keeping Orange damage instead of green, however]. Also adding a few more ~Personal~ touches to it. Open to suggestions~

Note: Most of the interface is hard coded, so you can't change it's actual appearance TOO drastically as the interface's placing is hard coded.[Modding the buttons to look different but still have the same dimension works fine, but trying to have the HP circle switch spots with the mini map won't work.]

Anywho, cheers~

PS: Anyone like my mark? Very Happy

Can you post the link for that interface mod for AO?

@nankurunaisa

I no longer work on AO mods, nor do I have that custom interface anymore. As far as I'm aware, interface is now CRC'd, so the file is checked by the server. Any mismatches will result in a client DC. At least, that's how it was the last time I played (~5-6 months ago).

If enough people want the mod, I may try to make it again. For now though, I'm done with AO.

I also wan this cool interface, I get the error 0xc0000005 which is memory access violation, maybe for the reduced size of the new interface.tex and not by HackShield. We're in the era of SATA III/USB III, most machines have fast SATA/SATA-II/IDE-133 interfaces, so I don't think so reducing the file size is a good idea, making the files less compatible, it would be better to try to make the files the same size in case the CRC gets lift and the server checks only file name, size, date, etc (directory entry data).

You are seriously retarded. YOU CANNOT USE INTERFACE MODS ANYMORE. YOU WILL BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE GAME IF YOUR INTERFACE.TEX FILE IS DIFFERENT.

HOW IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?

It's not just the size that it checks, there's an MD5 Checksum that the server constantly scans. This has nothing to do with HDD speed. We've tried to make it the same size, down to the byte, it doesn't work. There are ways around this but it will get you banned in half a second.
